[NEW] Instructions to authors

The authors should use the ACM Word or LaTeX style templates to prepare their articles. See: http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates

  • Papers should not exceed 6 pages in length, including the abstract, all figures tables, and references.
  • They should be optimized for fast web viewing.
  • The authors should apply ACM Computing Classification categories and terms. The templates provide space for this indexing and point authors to the Computing Classification Scheme at: http://www.acm.org/about/class/1998
  • The authors should provide a .zip file including all sources, figures and and the .pdf file.
  • The paper should have the rights management statement and bibliographic strip on the bottom of the first page left column.
  • The paper should have Type 1 fonts (scalable), not Type 3 (bitmapped).
  • All fonts MUST be embedded within the PDF file. Any PDF that is not deposited with fonts embedded will need to be corrected. In order to help you through this process, the ACM have created documentation on how to embed your fonts. Please download the ACM Digital Library optimal distiller settings file, ACM.joboptions. ACM cannot substitute font types, though. This really must be done in the source files before the Postscript or PDF is generated. If bitmapped fonts are used, they will not necessarily display legibly in all PDF readers on all platforms, though they will print out fine.
  • The .zip and .pdf files should be named using the following convention: PaperNumberFirstAuthorlLastName.zip and PaperNumber-FirstAuthorlLastName.pdf (respectively)
  • Do not use easychair for the final submission, but instead send the .zip and .pdf files to: m4iot.2014_AT_gmail.com

About the copyright forms:

  • The authors will receive an email with instructions about how to send their copyright form
  • Upon completing their forms, authors will receive a confirmation message that includes the appropriate text to be integrated in the \crdata{} field in the LaTeX template of their camera ready paper.

Quality papers may be invited for publication for an extended version in a special issue of the Annals of Telecoms (Springer) "Middleware for Internet distribution in the context of cloud computing and the Internet of Things".
